HOW THE BRAND MESSAGING STRATEGY PROCESS WORKS

Workshop 1 - Connect to self with purpose and core values 

The workshop is 3 - 4 hours where we uncover your purpose and core values based on the process from Simon Sinek's Start with the Why, which is listed as being in the top 5 Ted talks.

There will be an hour of preparation work, plus you will need a few hours for following up with gathering feedback from your close people. 

Workshop 2 - Purpose development review and draft brand messaging

This is a one hour follow up meeting to reflect on and experiment with the draft purpose statement. 


This organic statement can stay with you as you develop yourself and your business offers throughout your life. You can refer back to this and check in with opportunities to see how they may be in alignment.

Workshop 3 - Connect to others with this ideal audiences workshop

In this 2 - 3 hour meeting we will scope out what information needs to be gathered from ideal audiences in research conversations. I'll share templates of information that is useful to know and we can prioritise based on your business needs. You will need to consider which former or current clients could be approached to be interviewed. Or if that may not be possible, we will define characteristics of the ideal audience to find people who can be interviewed.




Ideal audience research

I will complete this ideal audience research, typically working with 5 - 8 people to spot trends in 1 hour conversations.

Workshop 4 - Review of research outputs & connect to self and other with context

Research insights presentation & exploring marketplace context, naming key competitors and identifying where marketplace research may be needed

Competitor research 

Following the briefing in the workshop, I will gather key messaging and offer information from competitors. This will inform a view of positioning your brand to stand out.

Final presentation - Brand messaging strategy update

This is where it all comes together! We will review all of the information gathered, the tools created and insights for brand, market and product development as part of your brand messaging strategy.

If you're doing a DIY job for now, and would like a space to be heard, ask questions, reflect, get clarity and brainstorm ideas, this is for you. In this hour, we can focus on a particular area of the process, or you can speak more generally about where you may be at and we can see what areas would be useful to focus on.

PURPOSE AND CORE VALUES WORKSHOP

If you'd like to start with some connection to yourself, working out your purpose beyond making a profit, this is the process where we harvest your core values and form a purpose statement.


You will need one hour for preparation tasks, then the workshop will be three to four hours long. After that you will need a couple of hours to gather feedback, then we meet for a final check-in call to complete the process.
